A linen addition
Hello summer, I've been waiting for you.
I've just got back from an amazing trip to Budapest (which will be coming to the blog next week), I've finally finished my first year at university; which feels like a huge relief and I can't wait to have so much more free time to enjoy. I've also got another two trips to look forward to, including a two week chill holiday in Bali and a city break to New York and we've been having the most wonderful weather in Manchester.
Things don't get much better.
I haven't spoke to you in a while so I thought I'd give you a little wardrobe update, of some pieces I've recently bought and am absolutely loving! - I thought I'd also let you know that with all this free time I'm now going to have, you'll see much more content from me...
Anyway, I bought this looovely linen jacket from Beaumont Organic. One of my favourite stores in Manchester. I've been interning with them for a few weeks now and I can honestly say their brands values are something I can completely get on board with. They're collections are all ethically made and from the most beautiful fabrics, either made here in England or in Portugal. They have a very beautiful store; located in Northern Quarter Manchester. Stocking: Womenswear, Homeware and some Accessories. They also have a shop dog. Need I say anymore?
I had my eye on this linen piece for a while, and decided to go for it as soon as I put it on, basically. It just fits in with my wardrobe so well, complementing the neutral colour palette I seem to be wearing constantly. Not only is the colour perfect for the summer but linen is also a material that never dates and lasts for years.
I've also bought some wide leg, off- white jeans, that fit like a dream. Again, these are something that I'll be able to bring back out next summer and the summer after. Perfect with a linen shirt, a dress or just a simple tee.
Birkenstocks. Who doesn't need a good old pair of birks? Currently embracing my inner grandpa steez. This time I went for the ones with the strap at the back, simply for practical reasons really, although I do prefer the look of them more and I'm not fighting to keep them on my feet either. So it's good all round in my opinion. Although, I wore them whilst in Budapest and walked 11 miles in a day, in them. Let's just say my feet were ready for falling off. But for sandals I dont think you can get much better.
Finally, a cute straw bag. My summer essential! This one is just the perfect size and fits all my daily necessities in it. I love the circle shape and think it just ties this outfit together nicely.
