Welcome to Jesse Alexandra
Welcome to jessealexandra.com! I’m so excited as I type this post and I cant wait to see this blog blossom. I hope you love my new design as much as I do.
After months of self doubt and that mind set of ‘I’m not good enough to do this’ aneyeforminimalism died. Quite literally. I began to hate it. I hated my content, my design, my name, basically everything and I started to feel like I no longer wanted to blog anymore. After reading a number of articles and blog posts from well established bloggers, talking about how there’s ‘no room in this industry for new bloggers’ and ‘people are only starting blogs now to make money’ I become disheartened and chose to scrap it altogether. Obviously, as you can see that mind set didn't last. And now I’m grateful for that phase I went through, because look at the outcome.
I took a trip to my most loved city… Copenhagen and came back feeling more inspired than ever. I realised the prime reason I started blogging in the first place; because I love doing it, I love sharing my travel experiences and my latest fashion finds. There’s always room for new creatives it should be something that is embraced and we should support one another. Everyone has to start somewhere.
ANYWAY… Here’s to a new chapter.
I thought I’d kick start my new blog with an introduction of what’s new around here. As cringing as it sounds I think I have finally found myself. I know what I like and what I don't like and I think my style is really distinctive. Which means I can bring consistent content to you guys! So what’s changed? We now have a ‘shop’ page which will be updated regularly with things I’m loving or currently wearing, to hopefully inspire you or make it easier for you to shop my favourite looks. With my ever growing love for interiors and homeware, my shop page will also feature lifestyle things from some of my most favoured brands. It will consist of affordable everyday basics to more luxury higher priced buys. However a strong value which will run through my new blog is that it will be relatable. I’m a student, which means my income is limited, if I want something expensive I have to save for it, which means a lot of the products on my shop page will be timeless, good quality pieces that you can wear this year, next year and the year after.
My colour scheme has completely changed and it now mirrors my Instagram feed and style. This was something I felt was really important when going through the design stage. I want people to go on my blog and know it’s mine. Previously on my blog I only spoke about fashion and travel where as jessealexandra.com will be filled with everything from interiors, beauty bits, life experiences, rants and of course the usual, fashion and travel posts. If there's anything you’d like to see please please message me and let me know! I’m still learning.
I really hope you’ve enjoyed my first post on jessealexandra.com and I hope you love my new blog design as much as I do. A HUGE thanks to Cat from gattoweb.com for making this happen. You are one talented lady! Thank you for putting up with my OCD approach to everything and bringing my designs to life.
